Kingairloch House - self catering in Scotland

Kingairloch House

The principal residence of the Estate has been fully restored to a high standard. Each room is tastefully decorated, with the hallmark of Jane Blanchard, Interior Designer, throughout.

You enter through a large Pitch Pined Porch to The Ground Floor, with rooms that lead off from the Main Hall, comprising of The Sitting Room, Dining Room, Kitchen and Utility Room. Leading up the Pitch Pine Staircase to the five bedrooms. Two bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, there are two more double bedrooms and a single bedroom with one additional bathroom and a shower room. All duvets, bed linen and towels are provided. There is an open fire in the Sitting Room and wood is provided. The kitchen has an oil fired Aga, an electric cooker/microwave, fridge, large freezer and pantry. The Grounds and Garden are being attended to all the time and a great effort is made in The Walled Garden and the environs. Highland Cattle may graze in the policies and The Wild Red Deer are often seen.

The views from the front window in the House are spectacular and a pleasure to sit and look out of. Loch a’ Coire is at the end of the drive which leads to Loch Linnhe, with the views across to Appin and Castle Stalker, whilst the views from the East to the Corrie Ban Glen and Mountains are ever changing. Once here you will want to stay!

We offer self-catering accommodation or fully catered with a high standard of Highland cuisine. Executive Get Away Weekends a speciality or a Long Weekend with us looking after you.

Weddings, Anniversaries and Private Functions could be arranged, using our ballroom/hall to conjure up that special atmosphere.
On the other hand to see the Local Area is a treat. Travelling by car around the quiet Morvern Peninsula, or pause at the Morar Sands on the way to Mallaig, or visit remote Moidart and Knoydart. Ardtornish Castle and Gardens are near Lochaline, where the ferry goes to the Isle of Mull and from Mull it is easy to get to Iona. There are many walks and climbs available locally with many interesting interpretive boards and centres in the locality.
