Here are the past projects on Kingairloch and also what is currently happening on the estate.

Kingairloch appeared on Three Hungry Boys, to view the episode click on this link to 4od. The program aired on 6th March, and it showed the boys working on the estate in return for trout fishing on the lochan, vegetables from the garden and Sunday roast venison left overs!

Timber harvesting is well underway on the block close to Home Farm. Instead of transporting the timber by road we opted for a links-span to be put in place to allow for ships to come into Kingairloch to transport the timber away to sawmills.

At the same time plantation has begun of native species in a new forestry block around Coire Bahn and Coire Schalachain. 

We have now finished the stalking season, venison is still available for purchase only from frozen stock.

Ghardail Cottage is nearly ready for self-catering lets, keep looking on the website for updates to our accommodation section. 

Biomass community heating system will be ready for commission in the next few weeks.

Tito Bustillo, the racehorse sponsored by Kingairloch is progressing well for the seasons' aim to run at Cheltenham in the County Hurdle on Gold Cup Day. He will have his warm up run at Newbury on 13th February.

The Boathouse has now closed for winter, it has been a great first season! It will be re-opening in March 2010.
The stalking season has started, please before going out on the hill call 01967 411 242 or 07881 805 465 for details on where the stalking is taking place.

This evening we had our first falconry display by Steven Brazendale from Inspired Falconry. This is another activity that can be arranged during your stay, please call the office for more details. Pictures will follow!
Summer 2009
The walled garden is now producing most of our salads and vegetables for The Boathouse. At the moment raised beds and a water feature are being constructed to add to the already fantastic character. 

We have just released 10,000 native Sea Trout "fed fry" into the rivers at Kingairloch from our fish hatchery, the report will be available online. Click here for report.

The Boathouse recently held the Spring meeting for the Morvern Deer Management group, professional stalkers and land owners from across the peninsula were in attendance along with representatives from other stakeholder groups. The Deer Management group is a local forum interested in deer management and addressing the requirements of the Deer Act (1996). 

Our local shop at Ardgour, in the village of Clovulin has started to offer holiday cottage welcome boxes that will be available for collection after crossing the Corran ferry. For more details call the shop direct on 01855 841 227.

Coastal Connection has started doing boat trips to and from Kingairloch. Pick-ups can be arranged from the pier next to The Boathouse, followed by a tour of our local waters and maybe lunch in Tobermory, what could be better? For more information on this please visit our links page.

We have now put six moorings down in Loch a'Choire, which are all free to use for visiting yachts. Ref:56o36.971N 05o 30.947W

Spring 2009

The work carried out on Kingairloch House is now finished. Photos of the additions will be on the website soon.

Renovation work is underway at the steadings at Glegalmadale. We hope that by the summer, the renovated barn will be ready to provide bed and breakfast; making it a great stop off point for holiday makers on the Morvern Peninsula.

We have also started to stock Scotland Outdoors magazine in all of our properties.
